Mill Road Park Upgrade

As part of the development an existing community open space was remodelled and new improved facilities developed.

The development of the housing project housing involved building on part of an existing public open space, much loved by the local community but with outdated facilities.

It was important to us to work together with the Community to find the best solution.
Discussions were held with, the Community, Parish Council, the adjoining local Primary School, the Local Planning Authority and Sport England. A plan was agreed to ensure that the remaining park would be significantly improved in terms of the quality of facilities including new and improved play equipment / facilities.

Remodelling and landscaping of the park area to improve its amenities and facilities including;

New play equipment to replace the existing outdated equipment

A new multi-use games area (MUGA)

A new pump track for skate boarding

A new jogging track around the park

The management of the park has now been handed to the local parish council, who have added benches.
