Thank you for your interest  in Westbourne Community Trust

The Westbourne Community Trust (WCT) has been formed for the benefit of all in the community of Westbourne, Woodmancote and Aldsworth.  Our main purpose is to provide affordable homes for local people that cannot afford to rent or buy a home on the open market.

Our newsletter is totally free  and it will keep you informed about what Westbourne Community Trust is doing and any latest developments. The Newsletter normally goes out two or three times a year, depending what work is going on.

Become a Member of Westbourne Community Trust (WCT)

Membership of Westbourne Community Trust is primarily open to people who live or work in the area, but is also open to anyone who just wishes to support the Trust’s aims and objectives.

Registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, the Westbourne Community Trust is a community-led organisation run by volunteers. As a community organisation, our Membership and our Board are drawn from the local community. Members can participate in the election of the Board of the Westbourne Community Trust..

There are no automatically recurring payments for membership. Once you have completed your application and paid a minimum £1 fee for your share, you will receive your share certificate/s by email. Please note: as a Community Benefit Society your voting rights are limited to 1 vote per person not per share.

As a member  you undertake to support the WCT’s approach, values and principles.

Become a Trustee

The Board consists of between 5 and 12 Trustees and will direct the activities of the Trust in accordance with its Objects and Rules. Trustees are elected for a period of three years.

We are always keen to recruit people that are able and willing to help us and  add their skills to our team. Our Trustees are unpaid, volunteers who give up their time to help our local community.

As a trustee you undertake to support the WCT’s approach, values and principles.

The first step after becoming a member would be to talk to our Chairman to find out a bit more about the role of a trustee.

Membership cost: £1 per share
